About

I’m passionate about many things in life, starting with my faith, which grounds me daily. My greatest accomplishments, however, are my two children and four beautiful grandchildren. They are my daily inspiration, constantly reminding me to grow, to love more deeply, and to be the best version of myself. I look at these amazing little humans and think, “I helped make that!” What a blessing.

The performing arts are in my soul; music, dance, and entertaining have always been a part of who I am. I adore food (who doesn’t?), especially cooking and sharing meals with family and friends. I'm proudly ethnic, Lebanese to be exact, and we love to cook, but we love to eat even more! As for my cooking skills... let's just say I spend a fair amount of time pretending I know what I'm doing.

I can completely lose myself in a great movie or binge-worthy TV series. And one thing that's never changed? I’ve always been a dreamer. Big dreams. Bold dreams.

I’m the youngest of five girls —the "oops baby," as they like to say. My poor dad— surrounded by all that estrogen! I come from a big, loud, crazy Lebanese family, full of love and character. My father, JP (lovingly nicknamed “Mr. Clean”), passed away in March 2012 at the age of 94. My mother, Dottie —aka “Hot Dot”— followed in March 2020, just shy of 96. They were unforgettable people, strong-willed, brutally honest, yet fiercely loving and generous. And, they could make you laugh until you cried. I get my strong personality (and maybe a bit of my sass) from them, and I proudly carry their legacy in everything I do. I owe them everything.

I knew early on that performing was in my destiny. I was dancing before I could walk, literally. My mom enrolled me in dance classes as soon as I could toddle, and I spent most of my childhood living in a world of make-believe, dreaming up skits, routines, and shows for anyone who would watch. After high school, I trained in ballroom, theater arts, salsa, disco, and contemporary dance, eventually competing and choreographing professionally.

Growing up in a family-run business taught me old-school values and a relentless work ethic. My parents instilled in me the belief that “no” is just the beginning of a new challenge. I don’t quit. Ever. Rejection doesn’t shake me — it motivates me. And let’s be honest, you need a thick skin and unstoppable drive to thrive in the business I love so much.

For over 33 years, I’ve built a successful career in real estate. I’m proud to be the Owner and Broker of Salhaney Real Estate Group, a business that reflects both my passion and perseverance.

That’s just a bit of my story. Thank you for stopping by.

Watch out, world ... here I come.

With love,
Suz
